Illuminated Holiday House
In keeping with my easy holiday craft theme, I present to you the illuminated holiday house. Just download my free template for it, and you can make an entire village for your mantle, if you'd like!

What you'll need ~
- House template (download here)
- Scrapbook paper (thicker varieties are better - you can also use a combo of scrapbook paper and cardstock)
- Tape
- Scissors and/or X-ACTO knife
- Glue dots or glue stick
- Wax paper
- Battery-operated tea light
- Other embellishments i.e. pom poms (optional)
How to make it ~
Print out the template and tape it to the back of your scrapbook paper. Carefully cut it out ~ I'd recommend using scissors for the outer edges and the X-ACTO knife for the window pane.
Once the house template is cut out, remove the printer paper from the scrapbook paper. Glue or tape a small square of wax paper to the back of the template at the window.

Score and fold the template as instructed and glue the tabs inside.
Once your house is assembled, you can further decorate it with embellishments (this might be a good way to cover up the seam you wind up with), or you can just pop the battery-operated tealight underneath it and enjoy!
How cute would a whole little village in different designs and colors of scrapbook paper look?
