4 Projects For A Beautiful Autumn Table

These simple, autumn-inspired table decor projects are as easy to make as they are pretty, and all the materials should be readily available at your local craft store.

Pumpkin Trio

A trio of pumpkins is an easy centerpiece to transform your table or mantle from summer to autumn in a snap.

Pumpkins: Find faux pumpkins at your local craft store and paint them in metallic shades or the fall colors you like best.

Bases: Paint wooden candle holders (or find some unique ones at a thrift shop) and attach the pumpkins with hot glue.

Autumn Napkin Rings

Napkin rings are a really simple and inexpensive way to dress up your table settings.

For fall, faux leaves are a great choice. Craft stores usually have mini gourds and pumpkins this time of year, so those pair nicely with the leaves.

With a hot glue gun and a clear elastic, you can have a snazzy napkin ring in less than 30 seconds!

Leaf Candle

What you'll need ~

White pillar candle (unscented)
White tissue paper
Wax paper
Heat gun or hair dryer
Leaf rubber stamps
Pigment ink pad
Scissors

It's actually quite easy to make your own decorative candles. Make sure the surface of your candle is clean before beginning (use rubbing alcohol).

Take a single sheet of white tissue paper and stamp your leaves. With your scissors, trim close to the edges of the leaf design.

Next, get a piece of wax paper that's just tall enough to cover the height of the candle, but also long enough to wrap around the circumference with some to spare.

Place your tissue paper leaf on the candle and wrap the wax paper around it, pulling it taut. Using a heat gun or hair dryer on the hottest setting, heat the area of the leaf design for 15 to 20 seconds - you should see the wax softening and the tissue paper becoming more transparent. Remove the heat source and carefully peel the wax paper away while it's still warm. Repeat for each design.

Place Card Holders

Decorative clothespins are a nice addition to your place cards. all you need is some scrapbook paper and Mod Podge to decorate the clothespins. you can also distress the edges with a pigment ink pad.

Tip: Get 36 clothespins for $1 at a dollar store.
