Netflix announced that Season 3 of “You” will premiere on Oct. 15.
Joe (Penn Badgley), despite being in a relationship to Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) at the end of season 2, was already looking for a neighbor. Season 3 will see Joe and Quinn marrying and raising their son Henry in Madre Linda, a northern California suburb. Their family life becomes more complicated because of Love’s impulsiveness, Joe’s interest in the woman next door, and how Love treats him.
Based on Caroline Kepnes’ books “You” & “Hidden Bodies”, the series is inspired by Caroline Kepnes’ books. Season 2 saw Joe escape from New York and move to Los Angeles with a new identity to get out of his past. He then fell in love with Love unexpectedly. Season 3 moves the story in a different direction than the books. After the series writers had planned the story, the third episode of Kepnes’ series, “You Love Me,” was released in April.
Badgley and Pedretti are also featured in “You”, with Tati Gabrielle playing Marianne, Dottie Quinn as Dottie, Shalita Grant portraying Shalita, and Travis Van Winkle portraying Cary. Scott Speedman plays Matthew. Michaela McManus plays Natalie. Shannon Chan-Kent is Kiki. Ben Menhl is Dante. Chris O’Shea is Andrew. Christopher Sean is Brandon.
Gina Girolamo and Leslie Morgenstein, Sarah Schechter, Michael Foley, and Sera Gamble, co-creators, executive produce. Gamble serves as showrunner. Berlanti Productions, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television produced the series.
