Realme’s Chief Executive Officer is Shang Hsiao, who took over from the previous Realme Chief Executive Officer Sky Li on September 7th in 2018. The same day the announcement was made it was announced that Realme founder Tony Chen would become President of Realme and will also join the Oppo board of directors. Tony’s elevation to the board signifies that his stake of Realme has increased from 33 percent to 37 percent. In addition to managing Realme, Tony manages Oppo Digital which is Oppo’s research and development department for audio-related products.
Growth of Realme
Realme is now part of the other brands in the smartphone market, including Oppo, OnePlus and Vivo as being part of a tech conglomerate known as BBK Electronics. The specific connection between the BBK’s smartphone brands is not known however, we do observe technology and innovation shared between the three companies particularly Oppo as well as OnePlus.
